Gail Stilwell Maids, Inc. was founded in
New Orleans, Louisiana in 1982 by Gail Stilwell, but did not receive its original name,
Maids Unlimited, which was later changed to Gail Stilwell Maids, Inc., until
the spring of 1983. Without being aware of it at the time, we actually founded the maid
service industry in the State of Louisiana... We were the first, others followed later.
Gail Stilwell Maids, Inc. is the second oldest maid service in the United States, the
first being Mini Maids, which originated in Atlanta earlier in the same year.

| From a very small nucleus and with Gail being the initial housecleaner, manager,
and owner, the company grew to include two operations managers and numerous maids. In
1992, the company expanded its operations in Orleans and Jefferson to also include the
parishes of St. Tammany and Tangipahoa. The corporate office of Gail Stilwell Maids, Inc.
is in Covington, Louisiana where that office also includes two operations managers and
maids from that area. The New Orleans office is located in uptown New Orleans, near Tulane
University. |
Gail Stilwell Maids, Inc. has received "The Award of
Excellence" from the Better Business Bureau. Our mission is "to strive to
maintain excellence in performance and dependability while providing housecleaning
services for customers, with respect and accountability, at a fair price, and to respect
the dignity of those who clean with a fair day's pay for an honest day's work." |
